The Village of Grogan’s Mill was the first of all of The Woodlands villages to be founded in the 1970s and is now the home of over 12,000 residents and 5,000 homes. Eventually to become a part of The Woodlands’ Historic District, the original neighborhood is nestled in a forest of towering trees and is home to many parks, such as Sawmill Park, which includes a swimming pool. Grogan’s Mill is the home of The Woodlands Resort & Conference Center, which hosts a double helix water slide, a number of swimming pools, and a wide variety of restaurants, including The Golden Mile and the Blue Water Cafe. The Woodlands Country Club is also located in Grogan’s Mill. Three golf courses can be found in the village, The Tournament Course, a part of The Woodlands Country Club, and daily fee courses, The Oaks and The Panther Trail Course. The Grogan’s Mill Village Center is host to a large variety of restaurants including Chef Chans Chinese Restaurant, Beck’s Prime, and Fuddrucker’s. A Randall’s Supermarket is also located in the heart of the Village.

Homes in Grogan’s Mill vary in size. It is still possible to find large lots in areas such as the luxury neighborhood of Grogan’s Mill, Grogan’s Point, off of Sawdust Road, conveniently located only a 5 minute drive away from the I-45 highway and the entrance to the Hardy Toll Road. Residents of Grogan’s Mill are also a very short drive or a scenic walk away from The Woodland’s Town Center. Prices in this neighborhood can range well into the multi-millions and homes are custom built by some of the top builders in the area. Grogan’s Mill is also the home of neighborhoods such as Settler’s Corner Townhomes and Village Square appartments where prices start at around $80k. There’s something for everyone in the founding village! Other neighborhoods in the area include High Oaks, Tamarac Woods, Sawmill Woods, and Glen Mill. Schools in Grogan’s Mill include Hailey Elementary, Lamar Elementary, and Knox Junior High.
